Electronic parking brakes can be programmed and a manual one cannot. People are lazy and saving one manual input during parking is always better. It also mitigates the risk of people forgetting to engage the parking brake on an incline. So no, it is NOT unsafe.

Failing that, there are many more GMC and Chevy dealerships nationwide than Bugatti or even Lamborghini dealerships, and their service department might charge an arm and a leg but they won't charge a kidney, a lung, your entire life savings, and 49% of your liver on top of the arm and leg just to fix a coolant hose. You could have infinitely more fun in a Corvette because you aren't out 3 mill just to get one. Do I think $114k is far too expensive for the average person to afford? Yes, but it's still far more attainable than your average exotic, and there are lower trim Corvettes that are around the same as a slightly optioned out Chevy Suburban or Silverado LT (Stingray starts at $68k for the most basic version). There are a good number of High Country Silverado 2500 and 3500s ($73-75k before extra options) I see around here and just think "bro you coulda had a brand new Corvette Stingray and a 20 year old Silverado 3500 with enough money left over to fix the body rust and have the brake lines gone through, what are you doing?"

Using a brake that'll lock your rear tires at high speeds sounds more dangerous lol. A mechanic has said it's easier to repair an electronic parking brake because the physical one is more in the way. But the electronic uses a module on the brakes to close. Electronics can do what you want them to do, they make them annoying

I completely agree with the points. I have a neighbor who spends all his free time on his motorcycle and says it’s his “everything in life”. I can’t help but think how sad that is.
